Crawford Aorta Retractor Crawford Aorta Retractor is a specialized surgical instrument made for aortic retraction in cardiothoracic surgeries. This aortic retractor can be used in procedures such as in aortic valve replacement where an incision is made around the aorta and the retractor can be used to expose the valve. This instrument is available in two blade sizes to accommodate a wide array of patients and aortic sizes.

This rib approximator comes equipped with extended three-pronged blades which gives it better gripping ability during rib approximation. A ratcheting mechanism with a large dial are used to set the claws at variable spreads and then bring them closer together.
