Kirschner Bow
Kirschner Bow is an instrument that can be used in a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures. A kirschner wire can be used to stabilize and approximate fractures after surgical repair. These wires can be quite easy to insert but must be manipulated with the proper instrumentation such as this bow. This bow applies a longitudinal force of tension that prevents rotation of the wire within the apparatus. This instrument is available in three sizes: medium, large and extra large as well as a set of 3 extra hooks for the krischner bow.

Diamond Pin Wire Cutter
cuts up to 5/64" (2.0 mm) diameter hard wire, 6-1/2" (16.5 cm)Â Diamond Pin Wire Cutter is a specially designed instrument crafted for use in cutting wire. Many different neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures require the insertion of wire to give the areas additional stability and this cutter can be used to clip these at the desired length. Not only can this instrument be used to trim wire but also surgical pins. Fracture repair and other bone repair surgeries has to be set with pins that also need to be trimmed using this instrument. This instrument is available in two designs: stainless steal or tungsten carbide both of which can cup up to a diameter of 2.0 mm.
Blunt Jaw Pliers
5-1/2" (14.0 cm)Â Blunt Jaw Pliers can be used in a variety of surgical procedures that require the insertion and manipulation of wires. This instrument features slightly rounded handles which makes it easy to hold and operate manually and is a traditionally utility poliers with adjustable jaws. The blunt jaws prevent breakage and splintering of the wire and allows for increased pressure to reshape it to the appropriate shape. Wires can be used to approximate fractures or can be inserted through skin and bone to provide traction on the bone.
Lineman Pliers
side-cutting, maximum capacity 1.6 mm, 8-1/2" (21.6 cm)Â Lineman Pliers are a multi-purpose instrument designed for use in surgical procedures to manipulate wire. Many orthopedic surgeries such as fracture repair depend on the use of wire to approximate the fragments and accelerate the healing process. Wires must be manipulated and wrapped to fit the particular scenario where they are needed and these pliers are built for that. They features tungsten carbide jaws and are side cutting with a maximum capacity of 1.6 mm.
Front & Side Wire Cutter – Tungsten Carbide
tungsten carbide jaws, double-action, 1/16" (1.7 mm) maximum capacity, 7-1/8" (18.1 cm)Â Front and Side Wire Cutter is designed for use in surgical procedures that require manipulation of the length of surgical wire. In procedures such as laminectomies or total hip replacements insertion of a wire is necessary to confer some stability to the newly operated upon region. Not only does this give stability but speeds up the healing time and prevents trauma to the area during the healing process. This particular cutter is a front and side cutter and features double action tungsten carbide jaws that has a maximum capacity of 1.7 mm.
Flat Nose K-Wire Pliers
serrated jaws, 7" (17.8 cm), 3.0 mm tip Flat Nose K-Wire Pliers are instruments ideally suited for use with surgical K-wire. This wire can be used for temporary fixation in some procedures thus giving support through the healing process and then can be removed. Additionally K-wire can be used in permanent fixation and can also be passed through the skin and bone to provide direct traction to the bone itself. In all of this surgical scenarios this instrument will be of optimal function in manipulation and handling of the wire and features serrated jaws which gives added hold and grip to prevent slipping. This instrument is available with or without a grooved jaw.
Flush Wire Cutter – Tungsten Carbide
tungsten carbide jaws, double-action, front & side cutting, cuts up to 1/16" (1.7 mm) diameter hard wire, 7" (17.8 cm)Â Flush Wire Cutter is an instrument designed for use in cutting wires during surgical procedures. A variety of procedures require the insertion of wire to stabilize an inserted graft or fracture repair. This decreases potential for trauma and increases the speed of healing. This cutter features double-action tungsten carbide jaws that allow for precise cuts on wire up to 1.7 mm diameter. This instrument can be used for both front and side cutting.
Flat Nose Pliers
serrated jaws, 5-1/2" (14.0 cm)Â Flat Nose Pliers are ideally suited for use in manipulation of wire. Particularly these pliers can be used in situations where it is required to make very sharp, angled bends in the wire. The wider tip makes this instrument ideal for grasping Steinmann pins and K-wires. Additionally this instrument measure 5.5" long and is forged from premium German grade steel making it a finely crafted and reliable instrument.
Demel Wire Guide
Demel Wire Guide is a specialized instrument crafted for use in surgical procedures that require the addition of wire. This instrument features a smooth handle from which extends a slim neck and a hook shaped head. Many orthopedic procedures require the use of wire for stability such as to wrap around a bone to approximate a fracture and this instrument can be used to comfortably manipulate wire. This instrument is available in three sizes 30.0 mm, 47.0 mm and 57.0 mm diameters.
