This hook features a slim handle from which extends a narrow body with a slight hook at the end. This can be used in a many different neurosurgical procedures such as discectomies and laminectomies for general use in exploration and dissection. The slightly hooked end allows it to be used in subtle retraction to increase visualization and access to the surgical field. Additionally it is available in three different tip sizes: 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm and 5.0 mm.

Adson Dura & Nerve Hook
3.0 mm tip, 8" (20.0 cm)Â Adson Dura & Nerve Hook is crafted for use in a wide variety or neurosurgical procedures. This hook is a multipurpose instrument that can be used to retract nerves but can also be used to retract the dural layer of the meninges during craniotomies and spinal surgeries. Additionally this instrument is available with either a sharp or blunt tip making it suited for retraction of very delicate tissue matter with the blunt tip or less sensitive tissue with the sharp tip.
Cervical Retractor Fenestrated Blade
stainless steel, ball snap closure, bluntCervical Retractor Fenestrated Blade is an added component to be used alongside the cervical retractor for general purpose soft tissue retraction. Both blades are made from stainless steel and a ball snap closure making them a tight fit. Each blade also features a blunt edge to prevent trauma and tearing during retraction and the fenestrations increase the surface area over which the pressure is distributed. They are available in variety of sizes and curvatures making it possible to find a suitable blade for soft tissue retraction in a number of neurosurgical scenarios and approaches to the spinal cord.
Caspar-Type Titanium Spinal Spreading System
suitable for dorsal access to the spinal column, interchangeable blades, curved blades allow larger operative area, reduced shadowing during x-ray, unilateral & bilateral access to lamina, lightweight, corrosion resistant titanium Casper Type Titanium Spinal Spreading System a set of instruments and components that is specifically designed for retraction and spreading in orthopedic neurosurgical procedures. This instrument is suitable for dorsal access to the spinal column. It features interchangeable blades which have a slight curvature that allows for a larger operative area and reduce shadowing during x-ray. It allows for unilateral and bilateral access to lamina and is formed from a lightweight, corrosion resistant titanium. It is available as the frame only, blade support with closure, blade supporting with adjustable screw or as a complete set.
Caspar Type Counter-Retractor
Caspar Type Counter-Retractor is a specialized instrument made for retraction of soft tissue during neurosurgical procedures. This retractor is available as a frame with six different blades ranging from 35.0 mm to 60.0 mm in 5.0 mm increments. The variety of sizes of blades allows this retractor to be suitable for many different patients and surgeon preferences.
Adson Cerebellar Retractor
7-1/2" (19.0 cm), 22.0 mm deep Adson Cerebellar Retractor is a specialized instrument that is used in neurosurgical procedures. This tool can be used for retraction of the cerebellum, it is protected from damage by placement of cotton strips. There is a ratcheting mechanism that allows the ring handles to be locked at a certain width and held there. Additionally this retractor is available with either straight or angled arms and either sharp or blunt prongs makes this a highly versatile instrument that can satisfy any particular surgeon preference of patient need.
Beckmann Laminectomy Retractor
hinged arms, 4x4 sharp prongs, 17.0 mm deep, 12-1/8" (31.0 cm)Beckman Laminectomy Retractor is made for use in neurosurgical procedures of the spinal cord. Specifically this retractor can be used in laminectomy procedures in which the lamina of the vertebrate is removed. This retractor can be used to push aside the muscle and soft tissue layers that lie directly above the spinal cord. The ring handles and ratcheting mechanism make it easy to operate manually and to lock into the appropriate width. Additionally this retractor has sharp prongs and hinged arms to keep a firm grip on the tissue it is retracting.
Cervical Tissue Retractor
1 blunt prong, 13.0 mm depth, 5-1/8" (13.0 cm)Â Cervical Tissue Retractor is ideally crafted for soft tissue retraction in the cervical spinal area. This retractor also features one blunt prong that allows for exploration and movement without damage or trauma to surrounding tissue. This can be used in orthopedic neurosurgical procedures such as anterior laminectomies.
Carbon Fiber Radiolucent Medial Blade
ball snap closure, w/ teeth Carbon Fiber Radiolucent Medial Blade is an added component to be used alongside the cervical retractor for general purpose soft tissue retraction. All six blades are made from stainless steel and a ball snap closure making them a tight fit. Each blade also features teeth giving them added hold in retraction. They are available in variety of sizes making it possible to find a suitable blade for soft tissue retraction in a number of neurosurgical scenarios and approaches to the spinal cord. Additionally this instrument is radiolucent which allows it to be left in place during x-ray and can be seen through.
