This rongeur can be used to create or to enlarge a windowed area in the skull to increase access to the brain tissue in surgeries such as craniotomies. Additionally this instrument features a 3.0 mm bite that allows it to be used in grasping bony layers or other hard tissue fragments that need to be removed to increase visualization of the surgical field.
